August General Meeting: VIDEO

Updated: Mar 13, 2021

Our August General Meeting was jam-packed with 2020 Election information. If you missed it, you can view it here:

RI Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea discussed voting by mail, early voting, and in-person voting for the upcoming September 8 state and local primary election. Sec Gorbea also noted that poll workers are needed. Pre-registered and registered voters age 16 and up are eligible to work at the polls on election day. All the Rhode Island voter information is available at https://vote.sos.ri.gov/

We also discussed what campaign volunteering is like in the time of Covid-19. State Senator Bridget Valverde reviewed procedures for in-person canvassing, and RIDWC Executive Committee member and State Senate candidate Jeanine Calkin discussed how phone banking works--and why it's even more important to do during the coronavirus pandemic.

We will be sharing campaign volunteer opportunities for our endorsed candidates as we learn of them, so be sure to follow the RI Democratic Women's Caucus Facebook page to find out more!
