The 2020 Election and the Future of Rhode Island

Updated: Mar 13

First and foremost: congratulations to all the candidates! The Women Caucus's successful efforts in the primary carried into the general election, where we saw unprecedented wins of our endorsed candidates.

Of the 29 general assembly members our Caucus endorsed, 26 of them saw victory last night. Candidates running for local office also saw unprecedented wins. This is a momentous occasion for Democratic women across the state, and we were honored to extend our support to these remarkable women. It is a testament to the ideals and principles of our organization that those that sought our support saw such success. We owe a debt of gratitude to the members of the Women's Caucus who came together to build a new Democratic coalition, one rooted in integrity and truly Democratic ideals. From the bottom of our blue hearts--thank you.

In addition to celebrating the momentous achievements of the 2020 election, our latest email addresses the outcomes of the 2020 election, the future of legislative leadership in the Rhode Island legislature, and the better days ahead for all Rhode Islanders.
